Everyone is welcome from those who may think they are not athletically gifted, on through the Basketball team captain. Almost anyone can play horseshoes - and those who practice can learn to play it really well.
• Horseshoes is a "Club" Sport. (other club-sports you may be familiar with are Water Polo, Mountain Biking, and Hockey).
• Compared to other high school sports, Horseshoes is very affordable with registration/uniform/equipment expenses only ranging $100-150 total.
• Teams can be mixed players (boys and girls) 7th-12th grades.
• Team Practices begin in Mid-March (weather permitting) and are balanced around team member needs.
• Season matches run 6 weeks starting Early-April through Mid-May and are held on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, typically 5 PM. Teams may play 0, 1, or 2 matches in a week depending on final scheduling. Matches usually last 1 to 11/2 hours.
• Matches are held between two competing teams. At a Match, each team will play their Top-5 ranked players (by skill) matched against the other team's Top-5.
